# Fees, disputes and withdrawal

Monitor disputes, release eligible held bonds and withdraw free bond.

| Status                              | Your responsibility                                        |
| ----------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| Filled                              | Verify and attest if the evidence is sufficient.           |
| Witnessed Success or Witnessed Fail | Monitor disputes during the bond-hold period.              |
| Disputed                            | Wait for the bridge contract owner to review the evidence. |
| Finalized                           | Check the released or slashed bond.                        |

After the hold period, the witness or bridge contract owner can release the bond for an undisputed order.

Withdraw only free bond. An incorrect attestation can cause the owner to slash the held bond after a dispute.

If a native HYPE payout fails, check the pending claim. A failed payout does not require another attestation.

A protocol pause can block writes. Check the current contract state before retrying a withdrawal.
