# Events and reconciliation

What each event tells you, and what it does not.

| Event                                     | Use                                                       |
| ----------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| orderPlaced                               | Discover a new order ID, then call getOrder               |
| intentSubmitted / orderReset              | Track unwrap assignment, or a return to Open              |
| FulfillmentCommitted / FulfillmentRemoved | Track the hidden-proof stage without exposing the proof   |
| orderFulfilled                            | The order reached Filled; witness processing can begin    |
| orderWitnessed                            | Read status 4 or 5 and the settlement parties             |
| orderDisputed                             | Stop ordinary finalization and wait for owner arbitration |
| orderFinalized / orderCancelled           | Terminal lifecycle transition                             |
| liquidity\* / WitnessBond\*               | Reconcile LP and witness accounting                       |
| ETHCredited                               | The recipient must claim pendingETH, or use claimETHTo    |
