# Try the API

Send API requests from this documentation with the native Test it panel.

Each endpoint below has a Test it button. GitBook loads its fields, schemas and server URL from the live OpenAPI specification.

> **Warning: Requests reach the real API**
>
> The playground is not a simulation. POST requests can create orders or change data. Check the deployment before you send a request.

1. Select Test it on GET /v1/capabilities below.
2. Check the server URL before you send the request.
3. Send the request.
4. Check chainId, moneroNetwork, acceptingOrders and deliveryModes in the response.

Use the server URL from the specification, including its network path. Do not remove /testnet when the server URL includes it.

The capabilities request does not require a wallet signature. Use it first to check the network without creating an order.

> **Warning: Keep credentials private**
>
> Never enter a wallet private key, seed phrase or backend partner token. Use only your own short-lived wallet session for private endpoints. Clear the session from the panel when you finish.

A wallet signature must match the exact message returned by the API. The playground does not replace your wallet or sign messages for you.

If a request returns 429, wait for Retry-After before you retry. Do not send repeated requests while you wait.
